Bluetooth Phone to use as a Remote for my Mac

Since the reviews on Apples remote are less then pleasant, i was wondering if any of you use your bluetooth phone as a remote for front row, DVD player etc...

What model of phone are you using as a remote?

I was thinking of picking up a bluetooth phone on ebay to use as my remote...

I prefer using the Apple remote, but it's pretty limited in what it can do.

No doubt you have heard of the app "Salling Clicker" and that's why you want a bluetooth phone. It does make things easier.

I use a Rogers Nokia 6620 for this purpose, but will be moving on soon to something like an E61, perhaps.

See the specs for the 6620 at my sale link below.

Man....

All day dude. I used Salling Clicker with my Nokia phones. Loved it. Never tried with any other phones however. You would have to use a S60 aka smartphone - or what Nokia now calls com-pu-tahs

That includes but is not limited to:

Nokia 6620, 7610, 6670, 3250, n70, n90, e61, e62, e50... anyhow, you get it.

This will allow for pretty much complete control of your Mac. Pretty nice.

I've used a lot of Sony Ericsson phones that have sync'd with the system via BT with no issues.. no need for sailing clicker.

What "remote" functions did you perform?

That's cool but he's not talking about syncing he's talking about using it as an actual remote control.
I use my SE as a DVD/iTunes controller. Other neat things:
- control the mouse with the SE joystick
- proximity sensor that automatically puts your computer to sleep or wakes it up when you enter or leave the area. (Now how cool is this??)
- caller ID shows up on your Mac screen (lets you know if it's worth the effort to go running and searching for your cell in your backpack that's in the living room lol)

SE w810i works flawlessly as a remote.

I should write a review for it.
