I expect my copy of iLife to arrive this week, perhaps even today.

For people who already run GarageBand, this looks like the coolest little app.

It converts MIDI files into tracks that can be used within GarageBand. The developer's site also has some links to the "GarageBand Community" which is slowly springing up across the 'net.

Check it out.

Good to see the excitement - we are getting a handle on perfomance parameters.
Our testers report is just about complete. Cache is king - so are video cards. Clock surprisingly not so important. ( remember the run on G4 powerbooks with 1 meg caches for audio )

BTW the bigger keyboards arrived today as well for those with terminally itchy fingers.

Not a comment on GB performance parameters (it's fine on my G5) but even with my amateur doodling, I've seen some buggy track behaviour in GB. When a whole track is deleted & a new one put in its place later, the new track can end up with various settings (reverb, echo, filters) that were applied to the old one. Has anyone else encountered this?
