Recommend a mouse.

I own a corded mighty mouse and hate it, fits awkardly in my hand... I think its the angle of it, where you rest your fingers, I would like some ideas on a nice and inexpensive mouse. I also have small hands and doesn't matter if its corded or not.

I have just gone through this process myself. I've settled on the Logitech MX Laser 1000 and use it with third party steermouse software (excellent software). Logitech software doesn't seem to work properly on my G5 iMac. Mouse is good, tracks very well. Long lasting battery built in, comfortable. Quick and easy to charge. Like that its charging base station/signal receiver has own power supply and its connect to the mac via usb and therefor can be connect to keyboard (if wired) thus saving a powered usb connection at back of computer. Good idea to get a laser rather than optical mouse if tracking is important to you. Tried and rejected wired laser mighty mouse (right click disfunction), Logitech G7, Logitech G5, Logitech MX400. Not fond of depending on microsoft software so avoided those mice. Very happy with both mx 1000 and steermouse.

The Logitech MX Laser 1000 is the same mouse I use as well and I love it for a lot of the same reasons Jim said... It's a bigger mouse though. I would go into Best Buy or some place like that and test how they feel in your hand...and then go to a smaller computer store and buy it for $20 less

A good mouse is the MX518 and its 20$ at futureshop right now (normally 70$). I have the mx510 which is the same thing but a different colour...definately worth the money.

The MX518 doesn't work for me under OSX....there are no drivers for it that I've found. The mouse movement works but the buttons don't. Otherwise a great mouse under Windows (bootcamp) so I have to swap back and forth.

A pleasure meeting you Infinity8!

A few weeks ago I bought a wired Microsoft Optical intelliMouse at Grand & Toy in Toronto after reading user reviews which stated it was one of the best. It is a five-button ergonomic very cool mouse. Not cheap at $70 but well worth the money in my experience. BTW G & T offers a full refund within 15 days of purchase if you are not satisfied.

For sure stay away from Macally, they are cheap, but gave me a ton of grief!

Please keep us posted as to what you buy and how it works for you.

Try USB Overdrive. I use this wonderful drive with my MX510, with no flaws.

I use a Wireless Intellimouse Explorer 2.0 (comes with OS X drivers) and love it. Comfortable, inexpensive (picked it up for less that $40) and works well.
