It doesn't have voice/video functionality but at least a reason for that is provided on Microsoft's MacBU blog ( http://blogs.msdn.com/macmojo/default.aspx)

Kudos on them for supplying us with a reason for a lack of AV, but this new version is still a big bore. It's where Adium was around 0.7.
Still no compelling reason to use it.

Getting better but still not where I'd like it to be. We need integration with iChat and video support with my iSight.
