Price check on 1.8 GHZ iMac G5 17"

Hey, is this system worth 800?

17" iMac G5. 1.8GHZ, 768RAM, 80GB HDD, Superdrive *burn and play BOTH CD's and DVD's*, Airport Card *wireless*, Apple Pro Mouse, Apple Pro Keyboard, Original System Disks and original packaging/box. One year apple care left.

Considering the base model iMac is $1099, and outperforms yours on every level (except perhaps graphics, and that it has a combo drive), I could not imagine this fetching more than $600-$650.

Actually it's not mine, i was considering buying it though. $600 for a G5 huh? Thats pretty cool if he'll let it go for that much.

It's not bad - drive is easy to change - RAM can go to 2 gig easily.
I'd say it's "fair to good" BUT make sure it's a Superdrive - that's a none standard config.

There are two distinct markets going on right now -Intel and not Intel and they do not interact much.
We sell G5 models 2:1 over Intels with the exception of the Quad MacPros where they outsell the Quad G5s ( not by much )
I am surprised.

Get this - 76 MacMini g4s in the last month and demand for more.!!!..dman hard to find in quantity too.

Despite the excellent value and performance of the Intel Macs ( which we love ) the market is divided.
