Okay. Slow news day. BUT some interesting media to go along with this. Apple has bought up a bunch of buildings not far from their existing head office at 1 Infinite Loop. Steve Jobs informed the Cupertino City Council of this a couple of days ago. Based on his general description of the cross-streets, I tracked down where it is (I've never been to Cupertino). I have posted a Google Earth link for it, here:
The links to a news article and the video of Jobs' appearance is at the link as well.

Really? Considering it was built during his reign, I'm surprised by that. I somehow think that the seat of power will still remain at Infinite Loop.

just look at that incident a few years ago where jobs bought an historic home built by a famous architect with the intention of knocking it down to build something that fits more closely with the jobs aesthetic.
jobs is ruthlessly 'out with the old, in with the new', and the current campus is obsolete.
Do you think it'll be home to The Seat of Power, with the Loop becoming the satellite?

We talked about this on the show and an Apple employee wrote to tell us that the Apple campus at 1 Infinite Loop was built in 1991 - after/before Jobs left/came back.
Okay. I knew there was an head office built after the garage and knew that Infinite Loop was after that... but stupidly thought it happened that fast -- which would be silly, given how long a company would be in ONE place before having to expand to another.
So, "Siberia" is not at Infinite Loop, then... I wonder if there's a Google Earth bookmarm of the first campus -- and of Siberia...?

Siberia was just a suite in a building full of dentists and psychologists.
Hell on Earth for a guy like Jobs.
