What Will April 1st Bring?

So it has been rumored that new products are on their way with the 30th anniversay of Apple coming up in a couple of weeks and I just wanted to throw it out there to see what people may think will be release.

Im hoping for movie download service and new iBooks (MacBooks?) with Intel chips. Anyone else?

Could it possibly be anything with a touch screen?

Well you can divide what will be coming in to two catagories:
All of this is possible, not nessesary, and purely my speculation...

New Intel Products:
Intel Ibooks
Intel Xserves
Intel Powermacs

New Products:
Apple UMPC (Newtons been dead so long its a new product)
iPod Video
whatever else...

Maybe an anniversary edition of something. Like the 20th Anniversary Mac.

I doubt it will be the powermacs...from what i remember they will be the last to be updated. INstead I think it will be the iBook (or macbook) that will have a intel core solo and the much rumored touchscreen video iPod.

The Powermacs will come in August at WWDC not earlier. That's when the Conroe chips will be appearing. Next month will bring completed transition of the consumer computing lines.

I doubt the towers will be over to Intel all that long before the heavy software that we run on them is Universal, which seems to be scheduled to take quite awhile. I have an Intel on my desk at home, but I'm sure the company won't be investing in replacing the G5 towers until Photoshop and Illustrator start to run a bit faster than Rosetta makes possible.

Just speculation, of course.

I'd certainly love to see a full-screen iPod Video like that but I'd be scared of the battery, plus it would be easier to smash the larger screen, unfortunately.
