Imac G5 gen. A questions

Read on one of the posts some time ago that the video card for the first gen of Imac G5 was "crap" or something of that nature. I have that Imac but my video seems good to me so I didn't make much of it. The conversation at work today turned to video cards and it was mentionned that a "not so good card" (my wording) would stall while playing some videos. This is what's been happening when I listen to some downloaded videos. I tried to view Cashback from the ZED web site but gave up, thinking it's my internet connection (basic dsl). What's your opinion on these Imac's video cards?
Also, why is that gen of Imacs called "light sensor"? Don't the other Imacs have this or is it because it was the first to have this feature?

To start I think NVidia cards are crap to begin with but that's just my opinion. And the FX5200 card is from 2002. Unfortunately you are stuck with that card. What format are these downloaded videos? I don't think it has anything to do with your video card, perhaps just non Mac supported format/player.

Are you backed up??? If so, why? Psyllium Fibre is not free but will do wonders!
