A few simple questions re Apple and SuperDuper1

Did Apple the computer company have any trouble with Apple records about using the name?

OS X= cat names: Has Apple given any info on how far this will go? Eventually they'll run out of big name cats. What do you think they'll use after Leopard, Cougar? What will they use after cats?

Some Apps questions: Thinking of buying Disk Warrior and did some search on past posts and it was advised to get SuperDuper 1. Did a Google on this program but didn't find much info. Anyone have a link or info on this program.

SuperDuper! is actualy up to version 2 now. It's made by Shirt Pocket Software.

Good product for doing backups to other disks.

Were you advised to get SuperDuper instead of Disk warrior? They are for different purposes. Disk warrior is to try and recover a broken file system, SuperDuper is regular backup software. If you have a backup, that's a good way to recover, if you don't have the backup (e.g. Changes made since last backup), then you may still need Disk warrior.

Re: Apple computer vs Apple Records. Yes, more than once. Look it up on google.

Atroz is correct about SuperDuper! and DiskWarrior, and the fact Apple has had numerous legal fun with Apple Records.

As far as cats go, Apple has already trademarked various names until this whole cat thing is over. I believe they even trademarked "Garfield" if I remember correctly.

Back in the day, Apple Computer's System 7 sound guru Jim Reekes came up with the Sosumi system sound in frustration with Apple Records' attempts to sue Apple Computer over the computer's "musciality", whatever that meant. Origianlly, he was going to call the sound "Let It Beep", but decided to use the "So Sue Me" sound name instead.
