Should I upgrade to Tiger 10.4.4 ???

Ok.
I use a G4 DP 867 mhz / 2 gig ram and lots of HD's.
Now that the new Tiger is out with 10.4.4, should I upgrade from Panther 10.3.9 ???
Is it worth it for me to go Tiger ???
Are the creasses out of Tiger yet ???
Will I gain anything in speed, or loose some ???
Will it be smooth to operate on my set up and software ???
Am I just best to stay put on Panther 10.3.9 ???
How about software upgrades ???

I would love to hear from people who have similar set ups.
I use QuarkXpress 6.1, PhotoshopCS, IllustratorCS, DreamweaverMX +, and I use Office 2004 ( Word and XCell for accounting ).
I do Graphic Design, in small projects.

I personally feel that it's always worth upgrading to the latest operating system [with a few exceptions] ... people have been running Tiger for almost a year. I run it on both my G4 PowerBook [1.25 GHz] and Quad-Core G5 and have had zero issues from day one. I use all the Adobe CS apps and several more obscure titles. No issues. I can't say if you'll lose speed, but you have a pretty powerful machine so I can't imagine you will be fine. Generally speaking each new release brings along better speed [assuming you have reletively up-to-date hardware]. Go wild - upgrade. I think spotlight is worth the upgrade alone especially with the giant HDDs we all have now.

Speaking for myself I had the upgrade Tiger DVD sitting beside my Powerbook for a while before I decided to go ahead with the upgrade. And I only made the upgrade this past October. It was definately worth it for me.

Now at work we went straight to the Tiger upgrade. And our machines are only the 466 MHz G4 Powermacs with only 384 megs of RAM, although we'll be increasing that next week. And we work with the full CS2 suite along with Quark, and Word, mind you not all at the same time. This machine however slows down if I have more than two applications open. Not that is not the case with my Powerbook though, on that I also work with the full CS2 suite, Dreamweaver, Flash, and Word, and all under Tiger. Absolutely no problems at all.
