Powerbook power adapter wattage
So I tried to run the new 15" powerbook battery firmware update ( here http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2006/...09211510.shtml ) and it tells me that I need to plug in my 65w power adapter. I look, yup it's plugged in. So I read what it says on the adapter itself for the first time ever and see that it is actually 45w. Further research tells me that the 45w came with the 12" and the 65w with the 15" and 17". However the only one that you can buy separately is the 65w.
So it this a problem? Is this why it takes me forever to charge my battery? Does this explain the strange buzzing noise the adapter makes when the iPod is also plugged into the laptop? And most importantly, what can I do about it? Is there any way that Apple will trade me a 65w for this?
EDIT: I just checked the Apple web store and a new one will set my back $99. No way. That's crazy. Any dealers here that can cut me some sort of trade deal?
