New Apple Discussion boards

Sometime this afternoon Apple will turn on the new Apple Discussion system. The Discussion boards have been down for a couple of days, and the transition is scheduled to be completed today. Are any ehmacers regulars at the Apple discussions?

I read & post there once in a while. The update to the board sounds intriguing and I'll probably check it out later today.

Wonder if they are incorporating the new features into the current setup or whether they are going to totally revamp it?

I started with the Apple Discussion Boards, but there was way too much "I have a problem with" and I got depressed

I've gotten some good advice there about card capatibilities in older machines etc. but it really irks me that the forums are a place where other Mac users make suggestions and Apple experts contributes diddly squat.

Don't get me started on how there is no one you can talk to about .Mac problems.

I tend to go over for the really hard problems.

I have used the alias Heart of ehMac.ca -- at lease until Apple sends me a cease and desist...

See you online....

The forums are my first course of action for any new problem. If you are suffering from a wide spread bug, the solution can be found at the apple forums. I have been able to solve many machine specific problems in minutes simply by looking at the apple forums. Most recently a 1 ghz tibook that lost all brightness and controls after being connected to a tv. I found out that the issue was fairly wide spread. The owner was delighted when I restored all brightness and monitor controls simply by continuously tapping the brightness key during the startup process.
