Price Check: iBook

I've got a deal on an iBook (used) no idea of anyting more than what I;ve listed but wanted to see if this is a good deal

specs are

ibook G3
processor- 600 Mhz
memory- 256 MB sd RAM
it has an air port card
brand new power adapter
VGA display adapter
and all the start up discs etc.

BUTTT: the only thing not functioning is the cd drive.

They are asking $400 CAn for it.

is this too much?

if you can either fix the drive for less than $150 I would go for it
$400 is a good price for it
and you could use a firewire DVD player maybe for $100, but that would defeat the portability
Is this t the 14 inch

You should contact ehmac member RonW. He may have a drive for your ibook if you buy it.

i wouldn't buy a G3. cuz i wouldn't want a stupid motherboard failure.

also consider the cost of new battery ($150 i think), upgrading ram to 512mb to run tiger or panther comfortably (~$30-50?), fixing cdrom ($100 - got that from previous post) :|

all that amounts to $280?

+ 400 to buy the machine itself. = total 680.
