Just added a 40 gig Toshiba to my clamshell and i couldn't be happier. Fully loaded with Jaguar and running like a dream. 2-1/2 procedure went without a hitch, and I reccomend it to anyone who is feeling the constraints of 3 or 6gig HDs.

10G is a constraint these days! Nice to hear it went well. Did you put it a 4200 or 5400? Pls let us know how that goes. Was looking @ some Toshibas before (16M, 5400), but I've been swearing by the Travelstars.

H!

I replaced the 3 Gb drive in my clamshell about 2 years ago with a 10 Gb.

Did you end up with any left over screws like I did

The Toshiba is actually a 4200 RPM drive. I would have liked to go with a 5400 but I wanted to keep this project as cheap as possible, as it is a fine line between upgrading or simply buying newer equipment. The drive itself was $169. It is much quiter than the Travelstar that came out of it.
