Good article and makes me think I should be giving more space to the portables in our bundles.
Over 50% portabled ....and it's true we often see more portables in one household than multiple desktops.
Given that older Macs find homes and have long useful lives I suspect that "broadening" base is bigger than the numbers show here.

Very true, I am amazed to learn that many of the "older" PowerMacs are still in use and doing some pretty "heavy lifting"!
