One Tree Hill - Peyton's new iBook

Well season 3 is back, Brooke switched from a PC to a 15" PowerBook (with a sticker over the Apple logo on the back), Peyton got a new 20" cinema display to replace the old 17" cinema she had before, but I dunno if she changed the PowerMac G4 either. Oh and she got a brand new iBook over the summer, but wait, that iBook she has is still on Panther! I guess she was one of those poor unfortunate souls who bought a retail version that still had Panther on it, but she's got a 20" cinema display for her PowerMac so she can't complain about it. :P I hope Lucas' mom still has her 14" iBook and I believe everyone else still have PCs.

I remember Dawson's Creek, Dawson had a PC up until he was going away to college then he got a 15" PowerBook, Andy had her clamshell G3 iBook, and Joey got her first computer -- a white iBook I think?? -- when she went away to college. Jack had a Gateway laptop, and the only time Pacey used a computer was when he was using his friends' or the one at work.

My brain is full of useless info.

You a) watch too much tv b) seem to concentrate on the wrong things too often.

Come on you guys! Be nice!

Dona83 is simply pointing out that even on the tv shows mac is growing, not to mention doing a great job advertising to people like her who see these things.

Nice job Dona83, I've never watched the show but it sounds like great product placement for Apple.

Actually PC is growing on TV programs. Mac used to have a 75% marketshare now they're down to around 25%.

They've been doing this forever. It's hardly product placement, the apple logos tend to be covered up now.

Where's that statistic from? As far as i can see, Macs are just as common as ever

Macs on Seinfeld...

Unreliable source:

Jerry's computers:
>The first one was a Plus or an SE 30, can't remember which. The second one was a Duo 280 within the Duo Dock with an Apple 15" monitor. The third was a TAM. [Twentieth Anniversary Mac]
...
>in the episode where Cosmo decides he doesn't want mail anymore. Before he seals off his box, he presents Jerry with several catalogs and spam-type stuff. one of which was a MacWarehouse mag, which he derides.

Hey the character Peyton got her podcast on iTunes now, at the end of tonight's episode right after Peyton was seen starting a podcast to have listeners become her shrink, they announced that "To listen to Peyton's podcast, log on to wb.com or enter the PodCast section in the iTunes Music Store"

Why do people have to be asses on here? If you don't have something nice to add then don't bother posting.

Dona83 was simply bringing up a point how much Apple computers are used on television and in movies today. Or, maybe he just had a desire to discuss his favorite show and used the Apple brand as a guise to post said topic in a Mac forum of all places. However, I can't get excited anymore when I see a Mac computer on any media format since it's become so common. Although it's nice when shows or movies show the Mac kicking ass, like the old PowerBook that was used in Independence Day. A PC from 1996 wasn't advanced enough to break into a huge alien network, that's light years advanced from any of our technology, except to an Apple laptop. Have to love Roland Emmerich for going that route. Must be a big Apple enthusiast. btw I hated that movie! Pure cheese, but still, it was a Mac that kicked butt. Not a PC.

On a side note: Change your name dona83. Everyone is mistakening you for a woman. Unless that's your objective... How about adding Mr. to your handle?
