I think there may be some Dashboard Widget makers lurking in our midst. Someone (Chealion??) did up an ehMac widget as I recall.
There exists a Widget on the Apple Widget page called Scoreboard. It updates Major League Baseball scores. Could the same thing be done for the NHL?? Would love to see someone take a crack at it.
this is the one i use.
you can pick "your team" and follow their schedule/standings etc. specifically or you can see all teams/standings. i quite like it.
One of the new features of Safari in Leopard is the ability to specify any given section of a Web page and save it as a widget. So, as of next Friday, you can do it yourself.
I use Conference Call myself. I like it because you can run multiple instances of it so I have a Buffalo Bills, Chicago Blackhawks (nice win last night over the Leafs btw), and a Toronto Blue Jays.
Ok, this may be an extremely dumb question (and perhaps worthy of a different thread altogether?), but are Widgets all that important?
To be honest, I am a new Mac user within the last year (and LOVE it!) but I rarely use Widgets at all! I have maybe used them a dozen times. Am i alone, or am i not using this function to the fullest?
A couple questions - are Widgets system hogs? Two, are there any "essential" Widgets I really should be using?
Any opinions are appreciated!
