Apple Store vs. Retail Store

So I decided i'm going to purchase an iBook. I thought since i'll be in Toronto in less than 2 months I could buy it at the Apple store, but now I dont know if I want to wait that long. Is there any advange in buying directly from the Apple Store compared to Best Buy? The 12" iBook is priced at $1249.99 at both stores, and Best Buy is adding a free $50 iTunes card.

If you don't need a BTO (custom configured) machine, Best Buy should be fine. The $50 iTunes gift card as well as their awesome 14 day (I think its 14 days on computers, might want to check to be sure) no questions asked return policy (just in case ) are added bonuses. If you don't qualify for student pricing then Best Buy should be fine.

You can always order direct from Apple if you need it BTO and it will come right to your door step.

I never got a $50 iTune gift card when I bought my PowerBook from BestBuys two weeks ago!!! Is it only for iMac? Or a recent promotion?

BestBuy is the only major retailer that I'm aware of that's been putting Apple stuff on sale quite regularly lately.

If you are a student, you really should look into the online Educational store at www.apple.ca

Also, if you're a teacher like me it's a great place to get a deal!
