Gmail Notifier for Mac

http://toolbar.google.com/gmail-helper/

might be fairly old news - but its new to me Adds an icon up in the taskbar, lets you view your new messages right from there - also lets you make GMail your default application for e-mail. It's downright awesome

Agreed about the notifier for Mac. A great addition to an already strong program.
Now we just need them to enable rich text formatting when using Safari (it works on the PC side but not on the Mac side).
Lastly, what exactly do you mean by "You can use Apple Mail for gmail now"? Can you elaborate. Thx.

Speaking of Gmail, has anyone else noticed a lot of downtime and delayed delivery lately? It's starting to irk me...

no delays here. Well, in Hotmail, yes, always has been a delay like that for me, going on 4 years now. But not Gmail.
