After reading about that moron Steve Ballmer's most recent rantings, and then reviewing his past performances, a reader post at MDN prompted me to dig up this awesome Business Week interview with Steve Jobs from late last year. He's damned right when he says that "the sales guy" is running things over at Microsoft.

Thank you, sir. This stuff is always interesting to re-read (and listen).

The BusinessWeek article is great. I think it provides a pretty good insight on a possible reason that Microsoft doesn't seem to excel as well as a complete company rather then just small portions.
It will be interesting to see what happens tommorrow after these comments ... which seem to contradict some of the rumors floating around (ie. allowing you to download tunes from ITMS directly on the phone).
Yeah, I read his statements regarding the cell phone carriers before, and for them to try and force only receiving music over their bandwidth would seem to deaden the allure of a music phone. But there are phones out there right now that do it. Sony's got some, among others. Maybe the carriers have lightened their position on this? We'll find out soon enough.
