what are your favourite programs?

I was looking at an old thread about peoples docks and what they look like, when I realized that there were a lot of programs I did not recognize. There is a great thread in here about freeware programs but what are the programs that you use everyday? And what do they do? How much are they?

I gotta say mine right now (most likley 'cause it is also the newest program) has to be the Final Cut Suite. And most importantly Soundtrack Pro, just awsome at fixing beat up audio.

My favourite applications I use near daily:
1) SubEthaEdit
2) PulpFiction (a bit slow, but I like the features)
3) Adium (With a Jabber, AIM, ICQ, and MSN accounts I can have them all in one).
4) iTunes. It's open all the time.
