Powerbook Latch Loose

The latch on the lid of my Powerbook seems to be a little loose. Is there anyway I can fix it myself, or is a trip to the Apple Hospital going to be necessary?
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I've had this happen to my former 12inch PB as well, and if your still under warranty I suggest letting Apple take care of it. I had to pop the display's back lid off to gain access to it.

What happened was the pin that acts as the pivot point for the latch slid out of place, so I had to simply push it back into place and superglued it there.

i had that problem. solution: blow dust and other particles out of the latch holes. it worked for me. i'm somewhat paranoid of bringing my powerbook to the applestore.

Alright, thanks. I don't think dust is an issue, but i'll give it a shot.

it's not dust.. in my case, it was a whole mix of things from fingernails to broken pencil lead.
