Any dead or stuck pixel issues with ibooks?

I'm toying with the idea of getting a 14" ibook to take on the road. One thing I was wondering about is people's experience with dead or stuck pixels as well as Apple's policy regarding this.
I'm a bit paranoid about this after buying a $650 LCD monitor two years ago which had a dead pixel and the manufacturer wouldn't do anything about it.
On my second 17-inch LCD, I went for a cheap $249,- Xplio with DVI from Staples - it's beautiful and has 'zero' dead or stuck pixels.
Frankly - if I bought an LCD monitor today and it had any dead or stuck pixels, I would insist on a replacement or my money back. I don't see why I should be happy with a defective product..........and paying extra for a 'non dead pixel' warranty.......you got to be kidding!
Just wondered what the ibook experience is and how ehMac members feel about the 'dead pixel' policy of the various LCD manufacturers.

Most of our customers don't have any dead pixels on their iBook display. In fact, the number of customers we have coming back with a dead-pixel complaint is fairly rare.

I don't have dead pixels on my powerbook, but the bottom left and right hand sides of the screen are a litte lighter than the rest of the screen - I guess because that's where the screw is, maybe they were too tight...

I would look for this problem.

It's called backlight or LCD leakage, which is found in small forms in the majority of LCD displays, though some Apple LCD displays suffer from the issue more than others, it seems. There is no remedy. If the problem is glaringly terrible, then you might be able to convince your local AASP to replace the display.

I have one dead pixel on my year old 14" iBook -- but it is virtually unnoticeable. I can only really see it on a pure red background using PiXel Check. With all the transparencies in OS X my screen rarely has a pure background of any colour. But the dead pixel is not in the center viewing area so it isn't a major distraction even though I know it's there.

I'm not really positive when it died but I noticed it at about the 3 month mark, but couldn't be bothered to complain about such a triviality. Now the faulty logic board was something to complain about...
