Looks like a cool product, ... for windoze machines (at least those that don't have a good 'sleep' function). Not sure what the use is beyond saving PowerBook battery. Good idea though.

Moscool, ever tried walking around with an open lap in your arms, trying to get that signals direction?? I did that a few weeks ago after someone posted this site that listed a gang of Wifi networks in the downtown Toronto core. I felt like that Verizon guy (can you hear me now??) - I crossed the street, walked out of buildings, rotated looking for that correct signal. No dice. Al least I can walk this unit in the palm of my hand.

The only other thing is to find out whether the network is open ot not.

I like this.

This thing has been reviewed several times and they say it is worth poop.. sorry..
