Official! New start up sound!

That's right folks, only here, and only from me, can you now have the brand new Mactel start up sound! To complement the transition, Apple is offering two versions, so you can choose! Load these up in your existing macs now, and show the world that you are ready for the future!

Startup (Flavour 1)

Startup (Flavour 2)

Enjoy!

Actually, will Apple HAVE TO have that dreaded Intel sting in THEIR commercials, now? Or, will there be "Intel inside" stickers SLAPPED on to Powerbooks and Macs??

My God, I hope NOT.

Methinks Mr. Jobs will be able to:

a) Veto the Intel jingle in Mac commercials*, and

b) Ensure that there is either no Intel Inside sticker on future Macs as it would detract from the carefully conceived, beautiful case design (or to put it another way, "keep yer boogers off our pearls!").

*Assuming that they will actually advertise Macs at some point. The last one I remember was that G5 commercial from two years ago, where the guy gets blown out of his house and hits a tree in the front yard.

Companies that use that don't *have* to use it. Intel pays them to use it.

I think it's unlikely Apple will do it.
