Multi-page text (OCR) scanner
Can anyone recommend an (Optical Character Recognition) scanner for multi-page text documents? I am aware most scanners on the market today will be able scan text, but don't they only scan and save one page at a time? He wants to be able to scan several pages in succession, with the result being a file containing several pages of continuous text. His 12 year old scanner can do this, so I have to imagine there are several current scanner models which can also perform this function.
Just to be clear, here is an example. He places page 1 of a book and selects "scan text" (or something like that). After page 1 is scanned, he takes the book, flips it to page 2 and places the book back on the scanner, then presses "continue scan text" (or like that). After page 2 is scanned, he takes the book, flips it to page 3, and so on, and so on, until he's scanned all the desired pages. He now presses "stop scan text" and he then saves the file in a format which will allow the text to be editable.
Make sense to anyone? Anyway, looking forward to any responses...
