New to the forums, but not new to Apple. :)

Greetings fellow Mac enthusiasts, I am Elias26! I have been a Mac user for six years now. I can remember when it all started. Seemed just like yesterday. It was the Spring of 2000 and I got my first ever Apple computer, a Special Edition G3 iMac! She was a beaut at 400 MHz. However, as beautiful as she was, I knew one day I would out grow her and I would have to trade her up for one ugly mean SOB... a Dual G5 PowerMac. *imagine myself making that infamous sound Tim Allen would make everytime he really liked something on Home Improvement* That's the kind of love I am feeling for my new Mac.

Now don't get me wrong, I never wanted to part ways with my sweetheart of old, but she was far behind the times. That, and the applications I tried to push on to her was too much gusto for the old woman. If I wasn't into such demanding pro applications I would still be using her till this day. But alas, I have to move on.

Prior to being an avid Mac user of the past six years, I used to be a PC user. A PC user that actually loathed anything to do with Apples. I know! I am just as shocked as the rest of you. Well... not really, since I was once upon a time a PC user. Mainly because I was lied to by the Winblows community that PCs were superior to Macs in every way, shape, and form.

After 2 and a half years of getting that dreaded "Illegal Operation" message that popped on my screen 3-5 times a day! Not to mention all the crashes, and the virus I got, thanks to that little happy.exe file I had opened... I nearly lost it! So I chucked my Winblows 95 machine, and said to hell with what the PC community had to say about Apples, and six years later I been the happiest guy in the world with his machines. Not once did I have to bring in my iMac for repairs. Infact there is not a single thing wrong with my G3 iMac! That blows me away! And for the 4-5 weeks I have had my DP G5, I have had yet to experience a single system crash.

God I love Macs, and I want to share my love of Macs and all things Apple with you, the online Canadian Apple community!

P.S. Sorry for the novel, but that's just who I am. Hope you guys can deal. :P

Thanks bud, and sorry for being OCD with the whole Mac thing but I just got a new toy and I can't stop talking about it.

I never had a computer that ran so smoothly and that was soooo fast!

btw If you guys want a cool site that's also Mac compatible, go to http://www.everyvideogame.com

You can play every 8-bit videogame ever created. NES, GameBoy, even Color Gameboy! Not to mention even the Mastersystem!

Oh yeah, I can identify with that. My wife is SO happy I've finally got my mini so I will stop bugging her and all our friends with my computer talk.

Oh, and welcome Elias.

I am glad I am not the only one with OCD, driving others nuts with his computer. lol

I need to stop obsessing about this computer. It's just a computer. Every 2nd household has one.

And Jonmon is a cool guy. Very nice guy so I can vouch for him too.

There isn't a Dual G5 in every 2nd home. You have good reason to spout the virtues of your new mac. Welcome to Canada's Mac home.
