New powerbook performance?

Hello

I'm wondering if anybody out there has experience with the latest rev 1.67 15 or 17" powerbook. Specifically, Im wondering if anybody has done any video editing with either of these machines as well as having them configured with at least 1 gig of ram, and the 128mb video card.

I edit currently on a revA dual 2.0 G5 and I'm wondering how much performance I would lose going to the fastest powerbook. Of course it would be slower, I'm wondering basically how much. I can handle more render time, but real-time perfromance is huge, so i dont ave to render mall effects and so is the intrfaces responsiveness.

Any links or personal experience would be greatly appreciated.

The ame question applis for anybody experienced with a higher end imac G5.

Thanks

What programs do you edit with? That would be helpful in order to get an accurate answer.

I don't know if this helps, but Barefeats did a rendering comparison test and it looks like the Powerbook is really hampered by lack of processing power. Here are the results:

I'm not sure if realtime performance is more based on graphics processing or CPU speed, but if it's CPU-intensive, the dual-processor systems seem to have a big edge. If it's primarily graphics based, then the Powerbook should do pretty well since the 9700M is a good performer.

What video card do you have in your G5?

PS: [SHAMELESS PLUG] If you're looking for a good deal on a 17" powerbook, I've got one for sale. It's only a 1.5, but I don't think there's much difference going to a 1.67... [/SHAMELESS PLUG]
