Launched the Apple Wire Today, already asked people to take a look a few days back......

I know some people may think its ugly or crappy or stupid! I however like it and think its an interesting concept! So There!

We all get our mac news every day!
I've created the http://applewire.com

Using Moveabletype and Reblogger to collect news from various sites around the internet on Apple/iTunes/ipod.

I think it can mostly be used as a portal to other news. Basically, if you want all the updates you can simple check my site in the morning rather than having to port around to a bunch of sites....


You simply click the link and away you go, you are whisked off to the appropriate site!

Check it out, Bookmark it, Enjoy it.. make comments... I am proud of it and think I can get some traffic going to a portal like this..

I still need to learn about giving Moveable Type a more customized look.

Bravo. Looks great. Might be nice if it was a little more obvious where the story came from, like if the header said "MacMinute: Apple Announces Tiger Release Date" but other than that small issue I think it's awesome! I know it says where the article is from on the bottom.

Obviosly there are similar sites.. I just really like the Movable Type Interface and the Reblogger software... Its just an idea to play with and develop..

I figure whats 8 bucks for a domain name and some hosting..

And a few hours of my time...

cool idea. too much leading in the paragraph copy though, at least in firefox. you should darken your link colour too - there's not enough contrast for it to be legible.

other than that it's great.

Well, I'm getting good feedback and i'm taking it all into consideration..
As for the colours... thats the standard Movable Type Colours.. I wouldnt eventually like a nice header.. better colors.. basically more apple looking.. But I dont know how to do any of this stuff yet...

I have as well added the adsense code.. Although I can't get the damn thing to resize.. I have tried modfying the code and it just stays static.. Still waiting for a reply from Google on this..

This is my first site like this that I actually feel could be useful in providing and combining specific news sources.... It comes from my feeling of having way too many mac sites to look at every day to get a good picture of whats going on..

One comment on another board was to get the feeds from different sources to randomize... rather then have all from 1 source, then all from the next...

Also, does anyone have or recommend any news sources that should be included?
