Hey guys, just wanted to get something off my chest. If this isn't the appropriate place, please let me know
Since there are no Apple retail stores here in "The Maritimes" (I don't want to be too specific... but I think if they read this site.. they will know who I am anyway.) I have to deal with an Apple reseller, as most of you probably do. I don't own a credit card, nor paypal, so I can't order off Apple's site. Recently, I just purchased an iBook G4, and Airport Express and an iSight camera from a reseller, it was done through my fathers work. 3 days after I finally receive my purchases the iSight dies, completely hardware, nothing I can do about it.. it won't run on any of my computers. So I bring it in to the reseller and say, it just died.. can you check the problem? "Sure Vexel, we'll take a look at it."
It's under warranty, so there shouldn't be any trouble right? OH god how I wish.
So.. it's 2 months later now, and still no iSight.. I'd been calling them every 3 days or so, even called Apple, who told me it was shipped... A MONTH ago!
I call up the reseller.. and the guy says "It's been here since before I went on vacation, come pick it up." As if there's nothing wrong... I however, am furious.. and none the less, so is my Dad.. who actually did the purchasing. My Dad leaves for work... drops by and picks up the iSight so I can pick it up from him when I get off work. Guess what? when I go to pick it up from my Dad... I open the box.... NO ISIGHT! The resellers are closed, so I can't call to tell them off
I call the next day.. and they say it was here.. but it isn't anymore. We'll keep looking. I was like.. well.. you've been looking long enough. "I'm going to call Apple again and tell them what's up with you F#@kers!" "No No No, they replied.. don't have to do that.. we'll order a new one, we'll call Apple and tell them and get you the new one. I was like.. sure.. and Apple's going to be like.. sure, where's our money? So.. I let them do that.. which in fact.. they did order a new one, which the reseller has to pay for. Meanwhile.. I'm home calling Apple to tell them anyway. lmao
Anyway.. just thought I would share my story.. and how pissed I was that these resellers can be so careless.. Not a good face for Apple.. and personally.. I can't wait till I can go to an Apple retail store to make my purchasing. Even if it involves me driving the 6 hours to Halifax

I believe only Apple resllers themselves have the option of using money orders and or cashiers checks when ordering from the apple online store. I know that I do...

Just a little update. Still don't have my iSight.. it was supposed to be in on Tuesday, it's now Saturday March 19th. Another thing, these guys told me there were no iPod Shuffles to hit the Canadian Distributors yet.... However... there are soo many other resellers that have them. I asked them about this, and said.. what do these guys get them from the black market? LOL! They are so lame.. and once I get my iSight.. I will not deal with them again. They can rot!
