Hey guys,
Just saw a comercial on tv (bout the fifth time i sawit actually), and it essentially is trying to sell pepsi, while also advertizing that u can win free songs buy looking under the cap of a pepsi bottle.... seems odd to me but w/e
can anyone verify this?
ciao
PS: if this has been going on for say a year, pardon my ignorance
Yeah Apple and Pepsi once again in the US only, have teamed up to give away FREE iTunes music. All you have to do is buy a Pepsi that is labelled for the contest and look under the cap to see if you won a free song. The only problem is, that Pepsi has a difficult time with getting Pepsi bottles around the US on time, before the contest closes. I think they are doing something with winning iPods this year? Is it a draw or something like that?
My guess is, we will have one again here in Canada, maybe in the summer?
So what if we buy a pepsi in the US, can we log into the US store and redeem our free song? I might be going shopping in Detroit in the next few weeks, so I'll buy a couple.
This is pretty ironic...remember what Jobs said to Scully years ago?
"If you stay at Pepsi, five years from now all you'll have accomplished is selling a lot more sugar water to kids. If you come to Apple you can change the world."
200 million..... wow thats a lot of songs if each song is 3 minutes thats about 1141.6 years of music, and where are youe going to get the 1000 terrabytes to store it all?¿?
Supposedly the redemption rate for free songs was tiny in last year's promotion -- about 10% of 100 million total IIRC. So the guy who won only had to have room on his hard drive for ten million songs or so.
