Great avatar, bulldoza.

But to answer your question, unless you bought a new Mac after January 11th you will need to pay the full $99 price tag to get iLife 05. There is no upgrade price.

Good luck.

Sorry, but you seem to have answered your own question. Yes, you can get the upgrade to ilife '05 if you bought a Mac or iLife '04 on or after January 11, 2005. If you bought a Mac or iLife '04 before that time, you will have to pay full price for iLife '05. Sucks I know, but a company has to pay it's people. I got a new PowerBook for Christmas but had to pay full price for '05.

If you are asking how to order the upgrade, the Up To Date order form is here...

Good luck.

For me, $99 was justified by a few things:

1) Bringing in movies in iPhoto from a still camera
2) The keyboard playing in Garageband (if you've seen it you know what I mean)
3) The new themes in iDVD, especially the baby one
4) Softcover iPhoto books

I was wondering if I should go with ilife '05 or '04. Basically I want to to create imovie projects and create dvds 2 hrs long) using idvd. I don't think I have any use for the HD features.

bulldoza -
as previously mentioned, you can get the upgrade for $20 if you have purchased ilife 04 after jan 11 - apple just requires a copy of the receipt showing the purchase, and a payment of the $20 to get the DVD and CD shipped to you.

you dont have to have bought a new system as previously mentioned

when i upgraded to 05 with the DVD the drive on my iMac sounded louder than ever before - the disc must be thicker than normal DVDs or something -
anyone else experience this?

Yeah, the upgrade process was painfully slow and amazingly loud. At first I thought there was some sort of problem.

I have noticed that my entire system has slowed down since installing the upgrade. I mean everything. Some applications take up to a full minute to load and some take just about as long to quit. Probably just coincidence that the slow down happened at the same time but who knows.

I've run Onyx but no real change.
