While ehmac was down for the last couple of weeks I got kind of hooked on the chat room at AIM. I met some interesting people and really enjoyed the chat that was happening there. I wasn't a frequent visitor compared to some but I certainly enjoyed it while I was there. Now it is often empty... :cry:

I totally agree with that.. I wish iChat could automatically open chats when you sign in. It would make more people show up in the chatroom I think.

i just noticed something really odd. i don't know of anyone, including myseld that uses AIM.

I stumbled upon ehMac just a couple of weeks before it was taken down for the upgrade/rewrite, and found my way to the iChat chatroom. I loved using it to get to know some of the people in this community. In particular, I found it an easy way to chat about things of no consequence, things that really don't need to be preserved on a bulletin board.

I think that there should be room for both -- ehMac chat when you feel like it, the website for your reading and other needs.
