MacAwesome!

Well, I've finally done it, I've purchased a Mac; a Mac Mini to be exact.

I'm very impressed by the design - it's sooo small! In fact, I was pretty amazed that they fit it into a smaller form factor than my Shuttle SB61G2 (http://www.shuttle.com).

I can't wait to see what the Mac world is all about.

Here are the specs for my new box:
· 1.42GHz G4
· 512MB DDR RAM
· 80GB UATA HDD
· Superdrive
· 56K V.92 modem

Cheers!

Taxes in, came to $1,022 - that's with the Educational discount.

I just got an ibook too, now I sort of wish I waited... but I do love my iBook. Guess I'm gonna have to buy the mini anyways!

Congratulations !!!!

I think you will be thrilled with your purchase ... I also think a Superdrive is a wise idea for a couple reasons ... 1) the obvious ... DVD burning ... for DVD's and backup purposes and 2) if you ever decide to sell it someday ... I think having Superdrive will make it more appealing ... although I am sure you will not want to part with it for a long, long time.

Enjoy!!!

BTW - What some have said about Steve Jobs reality distortion field is true ... I have a Powerbook and a iMac G5 ... and I can't help thinking of a way to justify a Mac mini too ... it's simply beautiful.
