I have simple Sympatico hs.
If I took my old Beige G3 and turned it into a web server would this go against my u/l or d/l cap in regards to hits?

Sure as heck would. Anything that travels through your modem counts against the cap.

Plus isn't running a webserver against the Accepted Usage Policy of Sympatico? I know it is with Rogers.

Hence my stupidity.
I'm just looking for a cheap way to put up a site but it seems I cant do much with my 5megs of Bell space.
Time to start checking those hosts.
Thanx!

I have a reseller arrangement with an ISP

I have currently 22 sites on my server at present and most are smaller businesses.

What is your budget?

What do you need?

Space, functions, email, Domain registration etc etc

Or you can use Internic - they have some inexpensive hosting provisions and as ISPs are now in the commodity biz ...prices are dropping like a rock (I think their (Internic) basic is 20 a month) you can get set up quite easily.

let me know.

What I do is generally speaking take care of everything for my folks. Most aren't power users so need some help. Web build, marketing, updates etc etc
