Wondered if anyone can point me to a decent dealer of Macs in the Kingston Ottawa area. My dad is making the switch and needs to be in trustworthy hands. I am based in Toronto, so I can't be there for first hand help. I have told him I can try and match the price with my dealer, but then I'd have to ship it to him and he wouldn't have the immediate support (not like he's going to need it as m uch as he did with his old computer!)
I'm not sure about Kingston but in Ottawa I always go to B.Mac It's a great looking store with knowledgeable people. I haven't had any problems with them yet. There's also Digital Music Centre off of Bank (not sure of address) but they mostly deal with Mac and all the music side of things. They just opened shop but I like where their going.
The CompuCentre at the Rideau Centre is also a great place to buy a Mac. That is where I got mine.
What Mac is he buying?
A note of caution...if your dad is buying anything other than a computer, he should look around because B.Mac is often more expensive than other Mac dealers.

Another vote for B.Mac from me. I always try to stop by there whenever I'm in Ottawa visiting my Mom; they've got really knowledgeable people and a decent assortment of demo hardware to test-drive.
I also vote for B.Mac in Ottawa. I was there during the holidays - and they are pretty tight. I love the store layout. Comp.Center was never that smooth.

I got my Mac at bMac too. I found their prices to be the same as CompuCentre, for most things. And since my PM G4 was discontinued the week before, I got $500 off. [img]redface.gif[/img]
