Recommenations on online shops selling OEM batteries?

I'll start by saying that yes, I've searched the H-E double hockey sticks out of this forum to find reviews, recommendations of online shops that have decent prices, and are a legitimate company. A lot of the threads included broken links, links to shops located somewhere in Asia and are year(s) old discussions.

So, I think it would be great if we could get a list going of some reputable online shops located in Canada that offer OEM parts (preferably OEM batteries) that other members have had positive experiences with.

Specifically, I'm looking for the A1322 battery for the MBP. I've almost settled on getting it from batteryexpert.ca, but am still hesitant as I can't find any reviews of the company and things like going to their FAQ page and seeing Russian language sort of makes me skeptical. Has anybody had experiences dealing with them?

The last time I checked (4-5 months ago) at Carbon and the Apple store they told me that because it's not a "removable" battery (mid-2009 MBP) it would cost close to $200 and would have to be installed by one of their technicians. I'd much rather save the money, install it myself, and not go without my macbook for a day or two :/

I have never had a problem with any after market batteries and some like the older NewerTech batteries (macsales.com) were even better than what Apple could supply at their elevated price.

Most are as good as those that Apple provides but as you discovered you can't purchase the A1322 battery from them as a DIY replacement And they don't blow up as some Apple supplied batteries did not too long ago.

I normally have dealt with Laptop Batteries / Notebook Batteries / Camcorder Batteries / Digital Camera Batteries. Low price and fast delivery. (but no A1322 battery stock) and BattDepot.ca which do:
A1322 - BattDepot.com - A1322, 661-5229, 661-5557, MacBook Pro MB990LL/A, 661-5229, 661-5557, A1322,

I'm going to avoid buying any 3rd party battery because a battery is something you don't want to cheap out on and I've seen a lot of them malfunction and deteriorate so quickly.

So, I guess I'm stuck with having to go to Apple and having them replace it.

Your choice and your money I guess.

But there's not a lot of manufactures making that specific model battery or equivalent, maybe two or three so they likely come from the same source with maybe a specific custom label attached, but the specs are no doubt identical. ;)

And oh yes, you'd need the special $5.00± screwdriver to replace it. ;) ;)

I guess I just broke the rule myself opps, but I'm not offended with CanadaRAM's use of my personal name and I doubt that it means much and I really doubt that anyone who doesn't already know me doesn't know or can find out much about me.

And just from the name used and posted, you wouldn't know if I was a Pat (Patrick) or a Pat (Patricia) I would suspect. ;)
