Refurbished MacBook Air

Seems I lurk here but only participate when I have an issue.
My MBP is having a lot of expensive issues and I have a limited budget for a replacement.
I am looking at a Refurbished MacBook Air from the Apple Store.
Has anyone had any experience they can share with these systems?
Thank you in advance for any information.
Norm

They're returned / repaired machines that look brand new (new external housings) and are generally trouble-free, with the same one-year limited warranty as their brand-new counterparts. I've purchased refurbished products from Apple before and never had an issue. To save some money, go for it. And if something does go wrong - it has a warranty, like I said.

I've had mine for a couple of months and it is just fine, and I saved some money in the bargain. In the future, all my "new" Macs will be refurbs.

I've purchased two MacbookPro, a Mac mini and 4 ipods from the refurb store and never had a problem with any of them. Except for the packaging they are as good as new. Highly recommended.

I've purchased two refurbished MacBook Airs, no issues. I did end up sending the second one back only because I found a great deal on a used one that was the exact same model but came with Applecare and saved me $100 in the process.

I have no problems ordering from the refurbished section though. You still get the same great warranty as new products.

No issues with refurbs. I've bought lots of them over the years and they've all been great. On the topic of the Air, I'd get a 2012 model over the 2011 for a few dollars more, it's worth it for USB 3.0, since you'll most likely end up using external storage with an Air at some point, and the speed difference is huge.

I bought my wife a refurb Air. The SSD crapped out a few months later but that was covered under Applecare.

Never an issue with Apple refurbs. I've recommended them to many.

so another +1 for refurbs.
