Biggest pet peeve with Apple products

My biggest pet peeve with apple products is the short cables that come with all their products. It was bad enough before but now the MacBook Pro retina plugs in on the left side instead of the right which makes the cable even shorter.
They pay so much attention to detail even to the packaging but ignore the need for longer cable. Im really noticing and getting pissed off about it on my MacBook Pro retina. Argh

Which cable? The power adapter? The power adapter has plugged into the left side since the beginning of the MacBook Pro era dating back to '06.

As monokitty says, what cable and what device and cable.

And yes if you're referring to their wired USB mouse cables, most are too short if you're actually using one with your RMBPro.

How does plugging in the left side make the cable shorter?

Pre unibody mbp had USB plugs on the right.
Even so... Apple USB keyboard comes with an USB extension cable...

My biggest pet peeve with Apple is their forcing me to carry their apps on my iPhone and iPad that I never use and they only take up space and PMO, like Newstand, Passbook, Reminders and now suddenly VIP in Mail that you cannot remove or delete. Never use them and never will, but there they are to taunt me every darn day.

I agree with you about the VIP mailbox and any other feature like it. Always allow for it to be disabled.

The only thing you can do right now is move the folder down to the bottom to get out of the way.

ya know, this also drives me bonkers. i like the usb on both sides like on the 2,2 mbp. just one more port - or even another TB on the other side.. would have been awesome.

Yep, I did move it down, but I should not be forced by Apple to carry it. That is just plain wrong.
