Help with Contacts / Address Book app.

I'd like to set up a list of contacts from which to do selective mailing. A co worker and I would like to start with and whittle down a master list into various selective groups for targeted contacts, from which we'll print labels and mail material to. The idea is for each of us to be able to edit the list independently and remotely.

I thought Apple Address Book app. might do the trick if I set up a separate user account for this task only, allowing my co-worker to "subscribe" to it but it seems things have changed since iCloud is in use. Neither of us want to add hundreds of business contacts to our personal contacts, so this book should be its own entity.

I'm hopeful someone here can help before I start spending time with google or the Apple forums.

There are innumerable mailing list and snail-mail list applications available. These would likely better meet your needs.

I've got a bias, but, you should consider Daylite.

Yes you will require two licenses, but it allows you to categorize your contacts and add keywords to each. Smart lists allow you to create easy lists, etc.

Seems to me you're looking for Mailchimp:

Email Marketing and Email List Manager | MailChimp

It's more than just a contact list. Pretty popular too. The free tier is still very comprehensive.

Sure Address Book doesn't replace dedicated data or list apps but we already have and use it. For my fairly limited purpose, I don't want to spend more $$ on another app. like Daylite and I already use a Mailchimp type of mailing co. In any case, i think the following link will do it for me.

Sharing Address Book in iCloud

^^^ In addition to having our own iCloud accounts for email, photo-stream, safari bookmarks, documents and find my iPhone, my wife and I have a third iCloud account specifically for sharing calendars contacts & notes. This method works great for us.

you dont need a third account for sharing calendars and notes/contacts..
you can have one account for you and one for wife..
then either your wife or you, can have a 'shared group ical' or 'contacts' and 'notes'
My wife has an iCloud account and within her account we have kids ical, her ical and personal... which is shared to all of our iPhones, ipads and computers and password protected.

I tried that but for some reason I get a message that says "the server doesn't support delegation" so that's why I just set up a third iCloud account that we share for contacts, calendars & notes. According to Apple you can't share individual calendars.
