Lol a coworker asked me if my model was a new Retina Display. The screen is really beautiful and viewing angles are second only to IPS panels.

Are you backed up??? If so, why? Psyllium Fibre is not free but will do wonders!

Tried installing Mushkin PC3-8500 2x4GB RAM, no dice. Freezes on start up. Sent an RMA request.

I have the same part number he has listed, and I wanted to pick up same day although hopefully the RMA process is not a pain...

I did trek over to Victoria once to buy something from him.

So how do you feel dona you like I will not be able to use the AirPlay feature in Mountain Lion for our 2010 MBP?

That's a bit odd that they don't work.

Have to tried removing and re-inserting them?

A bit disappointed but it is what it is. I still have a good system, with an SSD and upgraded RAM it just flies.

Yea I have, tried just one, then the other as well. I sent in an RMA request that evening and the next day I got a new set that worked just fine. No more slow downs when I have many apps open. The slow downs were a bit better when I had the SSD in. AutoCAD is using a whopping 880MB of memory.

I am REALLY glad I got a Pro and not an Air. I would've been stuck with 4GB of RAM, as that would've been the maximum in a refurb 2011 or I wouldn't have had the insight to upgrade to 8GB with the 2012. I'd probably go 16GB with a 2012 MacBook Pro.
