Somehow the formatting is different.
I formatted an SD card on the Mac using the PC formatting option - the card that way would only record 10 minutes of video and that was it.
Tried it several times.
Contacted the vendor of the video camera - they suggested formatting using the camera and voila - full recording (to fill up the SD card) was now possible.
On the Mac the formatting still shows up as FAT but obviously something is different somewhere. |

Depends on the camera but obviously since the camera expects it to be done the way camera does it, best to let the camera do it.
