MacBook Retina Air Intakes

It looks like there are air intakes (3 on each side?) of this new design. I sometimes use my laptop in a dusty environment, so I'm wondering if it would be OK to cover these intakes with (insert best material here) a filter.

No. It would not be OK.

Open the back and clean regularly.

CFD Air Filtering

I've read all at Dan's Data - Full Index and know a bit about fluid dynamics.

But my experience is with, somewhat, uh, "larger volumes", so the smaller space movement of cooling air inside a laptop is new to me.

Regards,

Paul

Interesting question, I wonder if the dust (over time) will increase the heat build up on the MBP?
