ATTENTION TO EVERYONE:
I HAVE RECEIVED 5 CALLS IN THE LAST 24 HOURS..
PEOPLE DOING UPDATES AND THEN THEY GET ONE OF THE SCREENS BELOW..
PLEASE DO NOT UPDATE [ITUNES OR SAFARI] - UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE..

Best suggestion I have is back up before you update anything
also be ready to reinstall your OS if this happens to you.

I think the Thunderbolt update is the main issue.

Did CarbonCopy bootable backup, ran Software Update, all installs went well (including Thunderbolt) and no problems on restart.

Is this a Lion only potential problem??

I've had no problems with my iMac running SL Mac OS 10.6.8 after doing a Software Update check and install today and both after a restart and a shutdown and a clean boot, and everything works.

I see Lion is up to it's usual standards. Any reports of it affecting 10.6 users?

Whoops, is there a parrot on my shoulder? My bad.

Do you mean Thunderbolt? That's the thing causing issues. Nothing else. If your computer doesn't have thunderbolt (and even some that do) you are fine. No Lion issue.

I tried running Software Update on my wife's Air this morning, the Thunderbolt Software Update did not appear. Maybe it's been pulled for the time being?
