Firefox for 10.4 on G3 Toilet seat iBook

I have a Key Lime toilet seat iBook that I want to run Firefox on. The OS is 10.4 and the RAM (such as it is) is maxxed.

What version of Firefox would be suitable and where would I find a copy?

TIA.

HOWEVER: occassionally I have in the past provided links to instructions or illustrations. I will not do so in future, in fact I will not be offering helpful advice for free just to have my words pirated until the sleazy ad linking desists. I will, however, answer PMs.

no idea about which version you need (google is your friend), but Old Software Downloads for Windows, Mac, Linux and Abandonware Games | Old Version.com will probably have it

TenFourFox would be your best bet.
This is a version of FireFox built for PPC OS X 10.4 (hence the name) and is maintained and up to date.

You can get older versions at:

Old Version Downloads - OldApps for Mac

On a G4 400 MHz laptop I own, the current version of Firefox is 3.6.28. This is the most up-to-date system I can get to run with normal installation.

One warning--Firefox will prompt you to upgrade from here, attempt to install a newer system, and then tell you the hardware is out of date and that the new system will not function.

Resist all such prompts. Repeat... resist all such prompts!

Any version of Firefox is going to be slow on such an old computer, especially as the older version of Firefox were far worse than the current builds.

That said, you can download old versions here:
