Apple Hardware Test

Ok. So I want to run an Apple Hardware Test because I want to use the diagnostic tool to check my battery. I was going to follow the instructions from Intel-based Macs: Using Apple Hardware Test

However, does running this test put me out? I heard it links up with Apple.

Firmware now supports networking, which is how you can use the AHT over the internet with Lion.

Only after running it 3 times. (3 strikes and you're out)
