keep getting logged out--wassup?

Hi,

This has been a problem since I joined...whenever that was.... 2005... I just checked.

I posted about half an hour ago (9:19 am) on a thread and I have come back (9:48 am) to see if there was a response and I see that I am logged out.

I've posted this question before and people all said they don't have the problem. But I was only in active here for half an hour.

Am I the only one who gets logged out so quickly?

I have never been logged out. Could it be the browser you are using? You allow cookies?

I was wondering the same thing myself..

I get dropped off frequently, but not constantly. I can log on and all will be fine for a few days, then suddenly - poof!

Other days, I log on, come back later that day and I'm off again.

I've sometimes logged off myself, just to see if that makes any difference but
it's still somewhat random.

Not big problem, just confusing!

But then again I confuse easliy

Hi,

....:-) had to log in again to reply..... :-) ?

I am using Firefox and I'm not sure if I accept cookies...to be honest. I think I do. How would I check?

I don't get logged out of other forums and sites that require being logged in. Only Yahoo mail tells me it's time to sign in again but that's usually after a day or so.

Do you check "Remember Me?" when you login? If not, that would be the reason.

I probably have clicked it but it's been a while...so...I tried this time when I had to log in again to reply to you.

....it just doesn't like me gone too long...it's a ploy to keep me poking around....that's it!

Actually, I thought the "remember me" was for future log ins but I'm not sure.

I'll let you know how it goes.....whether I have to log in again to do an update in half an hour or so.

Hey....I didn't have to log in!!

I'm sure I would've tried that button before (the "remember me" button) but anyway, it seemed to work this time!

I'll keep doing that and hope it keeps working.

Thanks for suggesting it.

cheers

OK, I'm still logged in from this morning, and that's even after a complete shut-down. (Had an appointment - weatherman said possible thunderstorms)

Boot-up and here I am all set to go, and yes I did click on "remember me", I usually do. We'll see how long it lasts

Mac OSX 10.6.8, Safari 5.1.5, cookies set to block third parties and advertisers.
Also run Adblocker, Incognito & Ghostery....Google still gets through (I think)

As I said, it's not a major problem, just curious.
