Apple orders 15 million iPhone 5 to start shipping in September

According to DigiTimes, Pegatron Technology is estimated to have received an order for 15 million iPhone 5, and there set to start shipping in September of 2011

The picture shown is a rendering of what the future iPhone 5 design could look like.

The Source notes that the iPhone 5 does not seem to have any major update from iPhone 4, they have already started supplying components to Pegatron's plants in Shanghai and China of witch have recently started hiring for manpower. Pegatron has also been aggressive striving for iPad or Macbook orders from Apple.

This would would be in line with other resent rumors of Apple preparing to launch the next generation of iPhone 5 this fall.

Is the iPhone 5 rumored September launch getting you excited ?

I'd be even more interested if they actually released a more economical phone. While I do love my iPhone they are damned expensive ... either $700+ retail for an unlocked phone or sign a 3 year service contract, have your phone locked to that carrier AND be committed to 3 more years with the carrier.

When you do the math I've paid more for my phone than i did for my iPad. No wonder Apple is rolling in the $$.

i agree, but as you know, i find mine invaluable for accessing client info, the web etc... while on the go.

the only missing piece for me is a proper bluetooth vehicle solution. i miss phone calls every so often and have broken 1 jawbone, lost another...time for a new audio deck in my truck. doh!

I'm quite excited, and with it comes the mental debate as to whether or not I should sell my current iPhone while it still has some decent resale value. I made the mistake once with my macbook of waiting and the release dropped its value by $800

ever since i got my new dodge truck with the uconnect in the radio i again loved my iphone while driving as it works like a charm, it even has better voice activation than the iphone does. no need for an ear piece or some blueant thing on the sun visor which needs to have it recharge and does not work as good as the uconnect.
