App Store Updates show up on Touch not iPhone?

Is there a setting for my iP4 that I can't find so a number shows up on the Homescreen in the App Store icon telling me how many updates are available? That's how my Touch works and is so convenient not needing to regularly manually check for updates. Apple wasn't stupid enough to not make this happen on the iP4, eh? LOL

Should be automatic provided you have an internet connection. I've never had to look for a setting on any of my devices (but then, I don't have an iPhone 4).

Maybe turn the phone off entirely and restart. Could be memory block.

I've had my iP4 since launch date last year and updates NEVER show on the homescreen while my Touch doesn't go 2 days without showing available updates, in numbers.

Could someone confirm to me if it's even doable, on the iP4? It seems ridiculous if it doesn't, must be something I've done.

According to the iOS4 manual:

	Whenever you access the App Store, it checks for updates to apps you’ve installed. The App Store also automatically checks for updates every week.

Thank you. Man, that's a ridiculously long timeframe, guess I've been overriding it 3 fold. LOL!
