Foxconn making almost 140,000 iPhone 4's a day!

And people STILL think apple's got some kind of giant warehouse of these just sitting around to **** people off who want one but can't get one?

Foxconn making 137,000 iPhone 4′s each day | 9 to 5 Mac Foxconn making 137,000 iPhone 4′s each day | Apple Intelligence

They could ship all 137,000 phones to Canada and they'd still just barely keep up with demand. But they've got 20+ other countries to supply as well!

Would be nice to know where they all go; certainly not Canada.

Here:

Plus the US, Great Britain, Germany, France and Japan.

22 countries / 137,000 iPhones = 6,000 a day. Though I seriously doubt all countries get equal iPhone time. And the 137,000 number is a current production #, I bet they started producing much less).

Stock seems to have reached parity in the US (according to reports - at least at most B&M Apple stores) so I expect it'll hopefully be another month before Canada reaches some sort of parity. Be nice to see how many iPhone 4's they've sold so far...

The linked article about Gou was an interesting read.

Also interesting that they basically had to invest $20 million on special machines just to be able to crank out the iPhone 4's metal frame in volume.

After the relatively-recent news that Apple got some exclusive rights to the 'Liquid Metal' alloy I'm thinking the iPhone 5 will be made out of that instead of the steel alloy in the iP4.

More news today - with analysts expecting AT&T to activate 4.5 Million iPhones in the September quarter.

So that's 4.5 Million iPhone 4's (mostly, I'd assume) in July, Aug, Sept just in the US alone.
